A loving grandmother
A caring friend
You were like no other
Always there until the end

You were always laughing
A knowing twinkle in your eyes
So full of life and love and joy
On your face a smile lies

You were always there for us
In the good times and the bad
And we just want you to know
You’re the best friend we ever had

You were always telling stories
And would often reminisce
About all of the times
That you would dearly miss

You were always giving advice
Teaching us what to do
Showing us right form wrong
And helping to guide us through

“Be kind to your brothers and sisters”
You’d say, “I lost mine and I missed her”
“Treat your mom nice” you’d tell us
And, “try to never be jealous”

The early bird will catch the prize
You were always first to bed
And always first to rise
These were all of the things you said
Taught them, preached them, it was the life you led

Your sentiments we’ll always hear
Your advice was unfailing wise
And now we hold them all very dear
And to us they’ll always be near

We think of you in quiet
We often preach your name
Now all we have is memories
And your wedding picture in a frame
Your loving soul is our keepsake
With which we’ll never part
God has you in his keeping
But we have you in our heart
