There he is
On the bench by the overpass
With his silly smile spread across his face
like a sunset on the perfect day
And his bike leans against him
Covered in balloons and childhood glee.
And he will sit there
All day
Only to occasionally ride his bike
Up
and
Down
And then he sits back on his bench
He has the stuffed animal hat resting atop his head
And
I don’t think he’s crazy
like everybody says
I think
maybe
He is just trying to make you smile
Spreading his infectious grin
and all his childhood glee
On the bench by the overpass
There he is
