The Night Sky

The sun rises,
The start of a new day.
Come sunset,
The sun ebbs away.
Rising and rising,
Far and high,
The moon forever lights the night sky.

The author's comments:

Inspiration was the beauty of the moon, and stars. Actually, I was laying in my bed, not able to sleep. As I looked out my window, all of a sudden, an idea of poetry came to mind. I looked for a piece of paper, found a pen, started to write. At the same time trying not to get caught awake. That pretty much it.
