Peaches, Cobblers, and Pies! Oh my!
The alley was so dark,
it felt like an eerie forest.
But this forest didn’t have lion’s tigers and bears!
It had crusty stale peaches cobblers and pies
I was messing with the rubbish,
with my big ol’ poking stick
A scent came climbing up to my nose,
it consisted of diapers, old Chinese food, and indescribable things.
So I whipped out my nose plugs.
While enduring this all I some heard odd sounds
from garbage bags, holes in the ground, and all around.
I heard a mouse squeak and a dog toy squawk.
A pop fizz and a rock drop.
I dropped my prodding stick.
I bent down to pick it up when I accidentally grabbed a dead rat’s tail.
As soon as I touched it I dropped it just as quick.
I opened my mouth to scream and no noise spoke out.
This was because many tastes entered my mouth.
Like stale cookies and all sorts of unwanted food.
The taste of garbage came in too,
and also animal doo.
I was done it that alley,
for my time was up.
I’ll never go back,
I’ve had enough.
