Gently purring,
shattered
Broken, dented, scraped and battered

Mechanic light,
auto cry
A gouge in its right eye

The undeniable;
a costly car
Squinting lamely through a fender mar

One casualty.
One wounded soul
Took hardly any effort at all

This is a poem i wrote for an assignment in my Honors english class junior year. We were studying the style of imagist poet writing. I wrote about a car accident I had the night before in my dad's car because the image was obviously fresh in my mind.
