Oh what the volume of a paper is
Infinitely unthinkable ideas
Writing to fill its blank spaces
An assortment of colors
A variety of textures
Equals unending fun
How excited those adventurers must be
Waiting their turn for their story to be told
That beautiful space of paper
Waiting for the pen to mark it up
How sad must those be
The ones that went wrong
Crumbled in a ball
Never to receive any praise or attention
But I am glad that it is not me
I am the writer with the difficult task
Of choosing the words that will forever last

Wow, I totally get what you mean. You've managed to say what so many writers can't seem to verbalize about their own work. Love it!
