Run through the woods with me.
Hold my hand
and we'll stand up on those rocks you found.
We'll look down
on the trail we've made.
Will you fade
into the trees with me
Breathe deep the dreams we keep
Pass peace to those that sleep
in the burrows, in the bellows

We have time to wonder in the boughs
over under
you and I
forever
twisting branches of a future.
Fly together
taking back our broken feathers.
Take your time.
We'll be fine.
You know I don't mind.

Walk out that door with me.
Pack your bags
and we'll drive
through the mountains to the city.
See the lights
settle down.
We'll do the things we said we'd do.
Get a dog and find some blankets.
Because I'll take care of you
and it gets cold in the city.

We have time to wonder in the boughs
over under
you and I
forever
twisting branches of a future.
Fly together
taking back our broken feathers.
Take your time.
We'll be fine.
You know I don't mind.

We'll paint the piano black
and never look back.

This is a song I wrote for my boyfriend. I have yet to give it a tune.
