That instant in time
When you find someone who relates to you
Someone who gives you a feeling of reassurance
When you first shake his hand
That surge of energy that flows through you’re body,
Informing you
That you are a person of some importance
You feel heartache for that stranger
That you never spoke a word to
After finding out about his death
The gift of connection,
Unnoticeably given
At times is damned
Other times it is graciously accepted
Never to be taken away
