We laugh all the time,
always laughing

Why should we be sad?

What's our reason?

Well now I know.

I know its not all good

You say its fine?
Explain that limp

They've stopped?
I can still see the bruises.

I've seen it before,
but not like this.

It's horrible, rotten, DISGUSTING!!

Makes my blood boil into rage!
Sickening me!

I need to yell, I need to scream!

This anger's violent, painful, thirsting for blood!

Yet still i'm silent,

Because saving your life,
would destroy your way of living.

Ending your hurt will cause so much pain.

Still, somehow,
We always manage to laugh

This is a rather personal poem, I was going to put up another one but decided this was more important. It's about a good friend who lived in an abusive family. 3 weeks after I wrote this poem she killed herself.
