Living Inside
Drifting away while driving
Always an escape to find you
tucked away neatly in my head.
No way to escape.
I locked that door long ago
And the key still remains,
Somewhere,
Much deeper,
Much darker.
Even though I know,
One day,
I’ll have to take that dive.
Revisit those pains,
get that key,
And let you out.
So I can shut that door behind you.
And never let you back in.
