when moonlight shines silver and sunshine turns yellow

i’ll turn and glance at that friendly fellow

he’ll hand me a smile to paste on my face

we’ll start through the country at our gentle pace

when moonlight shines silver and sunshine turns green

we’ll take to the sky and visit its queen

she’ll ask a few questions and sing us a song

at dusk we’ll stand up and float on along

when moonlight shines silver and sunshine turns blue

we’ll sink to the ocean and start us a crew

the fish can sing while the whales play the drums

and sea rings adorn our fingers and thumbs

when moonlight shines silver and sunshine turns black

we’ll gather our presents and begin to head back

we’ll part ways and i’ll return to my place

where i’ll wake up and remember my dreams and your face
