Through thick and thin
Through Thick and Thin

 Family

Definition: a group of people related to you either by blood or marriage/kinfolk

 the dictionary could do better?

my parents are always there for me

 thick and thin

always tell me to keep going

 give me loads of support

 come to my basketball games

 school productions

take time off work to come see

 never forget to give attention

 aren’t just related to me

give me a world of hope

 a reason to live

give me everything I could ever ask

does the dictionary really describe what family is at all?

technically the definition is right but it really doesn’t give them any justice at all.

My definition: A group of people who are always there for you, thick through thin, they will always love you no matter what you do and you will always love them no matter what

 See? so much better
