As I wandered through the labyrinth of my desires,
The streets he switched and shook...
My mind mirrored,
My soul clenched,
Till I was all but without my senses.
My calloused and broken hands, reached and grasped for him
and he took me in return.
But love is not what he leaned me toward...
Death, sweet death he murmured...
Hence his sweet utterances seized my soul.
He led me throughout his realm of sacred renaissance,
to which I clung with desire...
For a life of new implication.
My awareness was shaded as he gently sought my affection,
I was at all loss for the feeling of
subsequent fear and ardor.
His parade of macabre,
so morbid and sorrowful,
asked my habit of questions and reckoning...
to break and diminish.
My heart was suddenly trapped,
and I was no longer free to wander...
His masque of sweet and thoughtful devotion,
was marked with lust and rage.
My shadow shrunk and ran towards the light,
but it was only plagued with demons and mortality.
I was no longer a decorated emergency,
I was a simple tragedy...
Dealt with by signatures of laughter and exasperation.
The heights of ignorance were slaughtered by the war between
spirit and man...
The city within our hearts is now at war,
yet I am only a ghoul observing the chaos between the links.
Blood can be traced on the snowy path leading toward
the metropolis that now stands...
Yet only the spirits can venture to and fro,
for the men that once stood firm and blameless...
Are now laced with vanquish and silence.
Beneath the snow they lay,
covered in betrayal and foolishness.

Wow! I love this. It is very powerful. Being lured, decieved, trapped hopeless..It makes me thankful I have Jesus to make things right and give me hope.
