It's the moments
in between
When nothing is happening

Time is holding its breath
It's the moments
in between
When you've stopped walking
You don't know where to go next
Your feet are stuck
to the ground
By the weight
of silence
No one is talking
You panic
Slowly it rises
From inside your stomach
The idea of
for that one moment
You know not what you're doing.
You rack your brain
As quickly as the weight
of the silent in between
will allow
For something
any
thing
to do

It's the moments
in between
When we're finally given the chance
To Breathe
To slow down
And we can't.
