Scared For Him

Scared for Him
The doctor comes in and says it's time.
I give him one more kiss before we leave him.
I want to cry and hold on to his leg and say,
“Daddy don't leave me.”
But I force myself to walk out with out tears.
Inside, I'm quivering shaking.
I go to bed that night scared to death.
I dream that he is gone.
We go to the hospital the next morning,
And I see his room door open I walk in,
And there he is smiling at me perfectly fine.
