Struggling to escape the tan, fluffy substance enclosing me
Reaching the opening, light shines from all directions
My legs guide me straight ahead, I question myself
Did I choose the right path?

I glance back to see my hundreds of brothers and sisters
Some following behind
Others strolling the opposite way
A small portion of them are still trapped in the hard, white shell

Prowling predators lurking around
Ready to pounce on their prey, that’s me!
I dodge a ghost crab, but a few of my siblings suffer defeat
As a vicious raccoon devours their fragile body to shreds

Splash! The water swallows me into its deep, vast mouth
I made it to my home for the next 35 years
Looking over my shoulder, I gaze at the spot where I will return to nest
The trek of the turtle- Wow!
