Sitting at my desk, trying to do work
I can't focus; my head is in the clouds
The distractions are driving me berserk
Seems like my room is filled with shouting crowds
Few more hours before my homework is due
I'm working like a student who is frantic
Yet, worst of all I haven't got a clue
But it's all a matter of semantics
As time slowly starts to escape from me
I start to scribble down some random words
I am starting to scream like a banshee
This time i wish I was a nerd
Next time I write I will try not to stall
Thank goodness for the morning study hall

"few more hours before my homework is due" has 11 syllables, not 10. sonnets have 10 syllables per stanza. so this isn't a sonnet.
