Some Thing

It's just some kid
Filling up mommy's flask
All it wants is a hug
But it's too scared to ask

It's just some wimp
With a limp in its crawl
That skirts around deftly
With its back to the wall

It's just some freak
Staring off into space
Trying to forget
That it's so out of place

It's just some whore
Who takes payment in lies
So that it can deny
The void behind its eyes

It's just some thing
Dragging scarred, heavy feet
That stumbles through town
Makes potholes in the street

It's just some flesh
Still and stiff on the floor
It’s the only thing left
It can be anymore...
