Searching for a light in the dark, I don’t expect to find one
Trapped in the cold wet depths of blindness
Crawling through my own blood and tears.
Trying to break through this illness.
Accepting my condition and giving up on all hope.
Stopping to feel my wounds.
A small voice inside me tells me to go on.
Almost quitting unti¬l I finally realize....
The only thing I had to do all along,
Was open my eyes.
