Touch of Fire
I search for you
 As you run away
 Into the Night
 Escaping the Day.

 I look at you
 That which I desire
 Your burning smile
 Just feeding the Fire.

 You laugh at me
 You mock my love
 I look up from below
 As you weep from above.

 The things we want
 The things we crave.
 Actions are loud
 But reasons decide how we
 Behave.

 You run to me
 And into my arms
 And instantly
 I fall for your charms.

 Deep inside
 I know you’re not real
 My love for you
 A wound that can’t heal.

 But still I’ll run
 From all that I am
 Listen to
 My broken heart slam
The shattered pieces weighing a jagged ton.

 Into the night,
 Scarred by the sun.
