Weak… and possessive-
Oh in the most animalistic way…
Takes me away… Take me away-
Oh please… this is my prayer-
To this god I’ve forgotten; this god of poetry that lives within…
Please, take me away…
Into your dying laughter; your hopeless, dreamless sleep.
Give me the power; own me now!
Hold me close; laugh against my painful breathing-
Take me into this dying ember and soak my pain.
It’s only now that I feel the strength to stand-
