Faces hidden behind bronzer and blush,
But who are they? Do they even know?
Lives filled with flavor of the week boys and mindless chatter,
But never anything real.

Cutting calories just to fit in, skinny is the only beautiful, you know.
You hear he kissed her; she cheated on him.
Is this what they live for?
Behind the mask of the Covergirl life.

If you asked them they wouldn’t know what they live for.
Their passions consist of parties and random boys.
It ends there.
They look so strong, but inside they crumble like sand.

Every morning, the curling iron burns hot,
Hiding behind the waves and curled eyelashes,
But that is all they have.
Personality is an undefined word in their world of the Covergirl life.

A world filled with hate,
That no outsider can break into.
They have their ‘girls’
No one else exists, unless they wear the wrong shoes.

This is the world of a high school girl,
Us on the outside, looking to the insiders.
They are the ‘cool’ ones,
right?

I am stronger than all of that.
Or am I?
How badly I want to fit in, what was the name of that designer again?
I am a hater of the mask, but want so badly to live inside of the Covergirl life.

I really like the idea here, and if you cut some words to give it a more poetic feel, like you do with the shorter lines such as "it ends there" and "or am i," you could have a fabulous poem. God job!
