Camping
Arriving in Washburn makes me feel at home
Burning wood is a smell that I enjoy as I tend to the fire
Campers enjoying the warmth of the sun
Dozens of birds flock to feed on food people accidentally drop
Evening comes and the stars shine bright in the vast sky
Families sitting out by the campfire to keep warm
Gravity keeps our minds from floating away from reality
Hoping the weather will stay nice and warm
Imagining the world always being this peaceful
Jumping off a long wooden dock into deep dark water
Kids playing on the wooden playground, occasionally hearing the cry of an injured child
Lounging around in the sun on the sandy beach
Marshmallows are roasted by the fire for my relatives who have a sweet tooth
Nothing can be compared to this place, it is perfect
Open areas for playing volleyball and tag with my family
Playing with my dog as she chases her tennis ball
Quickly we run into our campers or under tarps if it rains
Riding our bikes on the long winding trails
Soaking up the sun as we lay on our lawn chairs
Taking a break from reality is what we do here
Ultra violet rays scorch our skin
Voyaging out on the long dock to fish and unwind after a long work week
Wading in the water to cool are feet after walking on the hot sand
Xscape from the world around us
Zero thoughts of leaving this place I call paradise
