She said to him all she could ever say
He heard her words so muffled and so faint
To him she sounded simply quaint
Happiness roamed where he wanted to be
That little island like place where he could clearly breathe
For once in his life he could feel so alive
The one place he felt he could truly thrive
She argued and fought
Wasn’t able to wrap her head around the thought
Wasn’t the only thing he needed me?
If not, why did he feel the need to flee?
She made one more feeble attempt to make him stay
But she knew she had failed when it came to that day
He left for that far away island that became his new hone
Was a place he could freely roam
A place where he could be so free
Found himself truly happy
Went along life living day by day
