A dream for a life
Lays fallow in
The Fields of Innocence.

Blinded by naivety
And sudden thinking
Of eternity.

Where angels collide
And demons reside,
The heart is a fragile thing
Lost in a dark void.

Chosen by one, to share
Something higher than life.
Then scorned, burned,
Scarred forevermore.

But now the day is done
One thing will never change…

A love reborn –
I wish I did not feel for you any longer.
Grave of the unknown soldier –
Dead in anonymity, and those who
Press flowers on the grave…
Blissfully unaware.

The words were empty
Shared dream insincere.
The key to a heart
Scorched from time.

A silent song rings
Through the imperfect night,
Mourning the sacrifice
Of a soul turned to stone.

Golden bells ringing
Over the cage of reality
Where normality and insanity
Are but flip sides of a coin.

An extinguished beacon
For the wayfarer’s soul.
A shattered stone
That the smith must repair.

But now the day is done
One thing will never change…

A love reborn –
I wish I did not feel for you any longer.
Grave of the unknown soldier –
Dead in anonymity, and those who
Press flowers on the grave…
Blissfully unaware.
