Never know
wide awake lying once again,
on the pillows pushed up to my head.
hearing noises from outside im thinking,
no thats just my walls that are shrinking.
Cracking wood,
in the walls.
Behind the door,
in the hall.
I needed to see this for myself,
stepping off my bed and onto the ground.
in differnt places,
it followed.
Till it started to hollow.
Beating in trios,
beating in twos.
One beat left,
and i call a truse.
Fingers meeting each end,
this is where we start to pretend.
Its just my walls are shrinking in.
The beating was gone,
nothing but walls.
The sounds were inside
afterall.
