Casting Blame

Time warps by
And in the blink of an eye
The whole world slows to a still.

Before you know
I let my feelings show.
Emotions advance to a thrill.

Nothing in reality
Seems any shy of fantasy,
But I know I'm not insane.

In the shortest time
I may have lost my mind,
And maybe you're the one to blame.

We're caught in the rain,
The moon's caught in a wane,
While the Fates look up and smile.

Sitting here with you
I know this feeling's true.
You know, we could be here for awhile.

Nothing in reality
Seems any shy of fantasy,
But I know I'm not insane.

In the shortest time
I may have lost my mind,
And maybe you're the one to blame.

Can't we just sit and talk forever?
Stay here in the comfort of each other?
I know that it doesn't get much better than this.
In this case ignorance is surely not bliss.

Nothing in reality
Seems any shy of fantasy,
But I know I'm not insane.

In the shortest time
You've wrapped your heart in mine,
So we both can share the blame.
