Was your mother in a storm?
Rain, Snow, or Hail?
Was your father out?
Corner store, Liquor store, or somewhere else?
Was he like mine?
Out being the civil rights Superman?
While your pregnant mother waits
In a private hell.
Is your story like mine?
Questions before your born?
Black, and White,
Is that right?
Of course,
Why else would I be here?
