Flower in a Thunderstorm

The rain falls
Pouring, drizzling
Onto the unsuspecting earth below.
Flowing, flooding freely

The water collects in puddles
Free-formed and lively.
The earth accepting this gift
Absorbing, soaking and welcoming

From this comes growth,
Blossoming.
Little flowers lift their tiny heads up
Springing to life.

Happiness from sadness.
Growth from destruction.
Life from death.
Warmth from cold.

The sun breaking through clouds-
Peeking while hiding.
Making its appearance known.
Pushing its way, breaking through.

The sun in cloudy weather.
A flower in a thunderstorm.
