The sun set,
The moon undressed,
While the clocks slept in their plugs.
I watched the minutes fly
With hazy eyes,
While the dirt turned into mud.

I'll never sleep,
I tried counting sheep
But the A.M. clouds my view.
The moon turns to me,
Time 2:33.
I can only think of you.

Those words you said,
Are still burning red,
On the ceiling of my room.
With every promised made
I hope, I pray
That someday they will
Finally come true.
