You’ve Got to Accentuate the Positive!

You’ve got to accentuate the positive,

Make you stay the best it can be,
While still managing to live,

And never know when you’ll be free

Thirty cents a month, you can shop from a lousy store,

But what would you do for a Klondike Bar,
When you’ve lost the will to live?
Of course, you’ll accentuate the positive

When life is tough and brutal,

You can pour boiling water on the floor,

So when the guards look under your door,
You can accentuate the positive.

The axis spins and breaks and falls,
It’s a pleasant time, so have a ball,

A POW you used to be,

So celebrate, now that you’re free,
After many a year being held captive,
You managed to accentuate the positive
