That Girl Is Me
There is a boy that has no idea
There is a girl who wishes she could reveal
But out of her selfish pride
There comes a pain that will never subside
So she will never tell
And in return he will never know
That she writes poems about him
Stares out of the corner of her eye
Sits beside him at band practice
Wonders what he thinks when he talks to her
Draws his initials in little hearts
Hates the times when they’re apart
Can’t think straight when he’s around
All her heart does is pound
Laughs because he’s her friend
Cries because that’s all they’ll ever be
And while you’re reading this
I think you should know
That girl is me

This reminds me of a time in my life....anyway this is a realllllyyyy good poem. I wish I could write this good.
i forgot to edit this about this article thingy..
i was probably too busy thinking about the guy this is about. i am so unbelievably lucky to know him and just so blessed to have met him. and it kills me to walk out of the church door each sunday and wednesday knowing that i'll never be able to tell him what i want so badly to say.
