please don't look at me
gazes carrying the weight of those days
stare back at me
and I see my reflection.
please don't talk to me
phrases weaving tapestry hopes
whisper to me
but I was younger then.
please don't ever touch me
your hands running up my arms
only trapped me in.
determined to forget my own fault
and blame it all on you
won't look back at your comfort
those castles in the sky
crumbled little by little
every day you weren't there to hold them up.
