Swish! You hear the net rip.
The crowd jumps up furiously, they scream.
Screaming voices fill the air loudly, until your ears ring.

The players on the court look like bolts of lightning as they move.
They pass hard and crisp.
They dribble smoothly.

The game went on flowing with a steady pace.
Down by 2, then 4, then 6, then 8.
They weren’t a team they appreciated.

The bounce of the ball hitting the floor,
Like a single hear beating away as if it were a drum.
An even beat, steady and secure, pulsing through the hand of the dribbler.

Time starts to run out on the clock,
3 seconds… 2 seconds… 1 second…
The last shot goes up, hits the rim.
The ball bounces on the rim like a tree branch in the wind.

The buzzer goes off as the ball falls in.
They came back, they won with heart.
The UConn Huskies.
