The Garder
Three black statues stand proud
Rising high above the clipped green grass
Three kings ruling the land
High above is a blue sky
The sort of perfect sky artist create
Like a playground for flying fowls
Sharp pointed rocks
Beside restful yellow and red flowers
Guarded on all sides by watchful trees
All of it safely enclosed
Inside a bubble of serenity
A veil of overhead protection
The people look around them
Trying to see what’s there
They are only eyes
Just as easily as it appeared
The veil wavers
And peace is interrupted
