Who am I?
Who are you?
Am I the person I claim to be?
Or am I a foe in disguise like the next guy?
I long to know who I must be.
The face I see in the mirror, is this me?
I hear my own voice...
I see myself through my own eyes...
But yet this stranger I do not recognize.
Am I lost forever in the hands of an unseen soul?
or am I a cat seen in the dim lights, eyes all a glow?
Will I ever know?
Am I the person you see when you look at me?
Who must I be?
Am I nothing more than a forgotten identity?
left to rediscover the person I used to be,
the person I used to see...
the person that was more like me.
This person I see
This person I long to be.

I believe that we all have moments like this in our life. Moments were we have to rediscover the person that we are and what we truly want in life. I had this moment and I turned it into poetry.

oh, what a troubled web we weave when we first practice to deceive

I love this, it is true and I couldn't like it more
