There once was a boy, so full of life and energy.
He brought sunshine to the lives of everyone he met.
He was smart, and strong, kind, and caring.
No one could guess what happened next.
That boy got very sick; they said he’d never get better.
He was not expected to live past third grade.
His family and friends were so full of shock,
How could someone so full of energy, have so little time.
That boy surprised everyone, he proved them all wrong
He lived past third grade; he even made it to fourth, then fifth, then sixth.
He overcame his sickness, though no one expected it.
Some say it was a miracle; I believe it was his perseverance.
No matter what happens to this boy next, he has done the impossible,
He has shown the world that it will never bring him down.
