A blank slate that follows
Staring across a dead path
Not knowing which way to turn
Scared by the sounds that pass
They seem too familiar
The ground shaking my body throughout the night
The icy wind grabs onto my skin
Making the day harsher but true
I scream at the top of my lungs
Begging for this moment to end
Hoping I won’t feel this pain anymore
That this sorrow will no longer be a struggle
My eyes draw tears
And I keep on waiting for you.
