You are counting down the days until you can go outside and run,
go swimming with your friends and have fun in the sun.
You are sitting in the classroom, thinking of vacations to plan,
wanting to be outside with your friends and getting a nice tan.
Summer is finally here, there is so much to do,
we should throw a party and stay up all night too.
There is the laughter of children all around,
it makes your smile when you hear the sound.
This summer is over now and is in the past,
I cannot believe that it went by so fast.
