Seasons

The winter slips away from us; spring’s near.
Winter brought the snow bright white and ice.
The ice and snow melt fast, the skies so clear.
The sun heats up the days become so nice.
Summer brings the cheers of girls and boys.
The green grass grows, the garden in full bloom.
The days are long; yard’s filled with kids and toys.
School is near, kids fill with dread and gloom.
State fair goes strong, big crowds and lots of food.
The trees put on a show or orange and red.
The wind picks up, we’re in the raking mood.
The trees are bare; take on the look of dead.
The green grass gone and so are the blue skies.
The year has passed we move along time flies.
