I will not deny that my hopes are so high,
I know that my chances are slim.
I will not pretend that success has an end,
'Cause the light of my life is not dim.

Do you imagine there's not enough within
To get me where I want to go?
Are you trying to say that I won't see a day
When I am the star of the show?

I know that it seems they're rediculus dreams
For a girl of hardly twelve.
Ambitions will haunt me if I'm not all I can be,
I see a great future for myself.

I wrote this poem when I was twelve years old.
