It Isn't Funny

A little boy falls to the ground,
Hurt,
Because someone pushed him down.
The bully stood there
And laughed.
It isn't funny
A young student runs out of the locker room,
Crying
And embarrassed.
The other girls were making fun
Of the way she talks.
It isn't funny
A grown woman
Withered with age and hardships
Is beaten for what little money
She had.
The thieves run off
Making jokes while the old woman
Cries for help.
It isn't funny
The pain of others
Is not amusing.
Humor should not be found
In the misfortunes of others
Because
It isn't funny.
