Joy Soars on Fragile Wings

Joy soars on fragile wings
Upon seeing it in the sky my heart sings.
My mind knows that in may fall,
And should that happen my heart will stall.
As joy flutter by
On the wings of a butterfly,
My heart longs to follow,
Realizing it can’t, my heart becomes hollow.
Joy, into the horizon it seeps,
Losing sight of it my heart begins to weep.
