The ice is famous to the seal as a place to escape
the frigid water.

The salmon is famous to the bear as it waits above
the waterfalls.

The Sky is famous to the raven as it laughs, plays
and tricks on creatures below.

The woods is famous as the moose which take
shelter in them.

The lone wolf is famous to its pack as a provider.

I want to be famous as the winter. Harsh to some,
yet a savior to the others.

I want to be famous as a ptarmigan, the phantom
of the mighty tundra.

This is very well written. I love it! It's good to know there are other people on here from Alaska!

Hey I just wanted to say that I thought it was cool that I wasn't the only person from Alaska (I live in Wasilla) that's on this site. Oh, and I really liked your poem.
