Poem of Spring

For five months it’s been freezing cold
And also very dark
Playing in the snow gets very old
I’d rather go to the park

My roof is covered with lots of snow
My driveway’s filled with ice
The temperature is 10 below
I slipped and I fell twice

Being in the house is not much fun
So I went out to sled
In fifteen minutes we were done
And all my friends had fled

April has come, it’s Spring at last
I thank God Winter has passed
