The base word is four letters.
So is love.
So is hate.
Yet it is always questioned,
that if spoken more often,
Would the World would be better?

The cause of disagreements.
It hurts,
Or helps.
Deep down, it's what we want,
But we never tell,
Endlessly searching for contentment.

The key to happiness.
It's a burden,
But also a gift.
The words carry great strength,
Not to be used in fights,
But to gently confess.

The great communicator,
It's hard.
It works.
If spoken, speak with care,
If receiving, accept it with reverence,
Let the truth be the lies' liberator.
