Mock Star
You hold yourself up so high
Though your head's not far from the ground.
When you pass a window
All you see is a mirror
And you check yourself out.
When anyone stands taller than you
You swipe a stepping stool
To raise yourself above all else.
I don't think you're all that great.
Your stilts are soon about to break.
Surely you'll fall to a bad fate
If you refuse to climb down.
You strut across the stage
Like you're some kind of rock star.
But you are not a rock star;
You are just a mock star.
You trample everyone down
Like you're some kind of all star.
But you can't be a rock star;
You are just a mock star.
