The sounds scare me
They haunt and fill my ears
I need to get out
And find some silence here
As the time winds down
The pitch just gets higher
Each one trying
To out scream the other
I try to get used to
All the screaming fans
All the publicity
My new famous band
The curtain finely opens
The screaming meets the top
I see their eyes
Tearing me apart
Then there is quiet
And they all stare
There’s a single drum beat
The sounds scare me
