Open Eyes

i used to walk with my eyes shut
so i could hide
i used to pretend nothing mattered
when it really did
i used to act like i didnt care
because i was scared
i used to wake up hating the day
always wondering what would happen today
so thank you.
for opening my eyes
and allowing me to see you
to see what love looks like
and more importantly
what live feels like
thank you again for opening my eyes
