If only I could tell you
This thing I have to say
A thought that has bothered me
Many a day
Dragging this from deep within
It is a place of which only I know
This is something I feel I must say
But it’s nothing that I shall not show
Saying this with compassion and love
All this time it took me
Building up my courage
To say it to thee
The word I am about to say means very much
So hold it close and don’t let it go
